So as to enrich the campus culture and comprehensively enhance students’ abilities in reading and appreciating poetry, during the third class, on the afternoon of 15th June, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Chinese Department in Grade 8 held the Poetry Dictation Competition.
In the first place, students were supposed to conduct memorial writing in terms of the context of a poem. Besides, students should not only recite the verse, but also were able to normalize their writing as well. Meanwhile, students would not get any points if they omitted or miswrote a word, which was strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
In the second place, all candidates were composed and calm, which enabled everyone profoundly feel the charm of poetry, inherited the essence of the Chinese national culture and let the dazzling bright pearl burst into bloom as well.
To sum up, the successful implementation of the grand event not only aroused students’ interest in poem culture, deepened their understanding towards poetry, but also enabled them to have a great affection on the splendid Chinese culture.
